It’s a breakfast tradition of mine the morning I land in NYC. I arrive at 7 am, head straight to the UES (Upper East Side) to freshen up and trek downtown to Buvette – my favorite breakfast spot. This Parisian eatery has a menu filled with Parisian dishes – from fresh squeeze blood orange juice to jambon cru.
My typical morning breakfast comes with an order of hot latte, blood orange juice, and an omelette. On this visit, I decided to indulge in something I never order…the waffle sandwich! I saw a few orders as I walked through the restaurant and couldn’t resist.
This quaint little restaurant on Grove Street is highly favored by many of the locals. And they have an outdoor seating perfect for summer days!
I recently discovered this absolutely amazing local Italian market called Faicco’s. It’s not only a speciality market stocked with the best Italian goods, they also serve the most mouth watering sandwiches I’ve ever tasted. It’s difficult to come across a great deli or sandwich shop in Hawaii!
I’ll stop by this market and order take away for an afternoon lunch in Central Park during the summer. And you gotta love the men with the classic NYC accents. They’re hard to come by these days!
Chicken Cutlet Parmigiano Hero sandwich is one of my faves. However, no sandwich will do you injustice!
Nothing hits the spot like Jack’s Wife Freda! And this restaurant is always packed with local patrons and travelers. Be ready for at least a 20 minute wait. But it’s totally worth it!
The dishes comes from a blend of Israel and South African flavors. Not your average combination but they compliment each other so well. You gotta try it! If ever make it here, you’ll love the Maya’s Breakfast Bowl and their secret sauce dressing. Hint: There’s avocado in it! You’ll thank me for introducing this fabulous eatery!
