I love anything with banana!  It could be that I grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii and there are banana trees everywhere (besides coconut trees).  And banana bread is such a treat to munch on with a latte, a cup of chilled milk, or even with afternoon tea.
With some slightly over-ripped bananas and a swirl of Nutella, we’ve got the most moist Banana Nutella Bread recipe in the works.  Plus, it’s easy for anyone to bake!

Banana Nutella Bread Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 4 large ripe bananas (I like to substitute with apple bananas)
  • 1 cup of butter at room temperature
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 4 cups of flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup of warm water
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup Nutella
  • 1 cup of milk chocolate chip  (substitute with dark chocolate if you’re a fan)
Instructions:
  • In a mixing bowl, cream the butter, sugar, and eggs.  Then add the flour and salt to the mixture.  Mix well as it will turn into soft crumbs.
  • Place the baking soda in warm water and mix together.  Place into mixture and mix.
  • In a separate bowl, peel and mash the bananas. I like to substitute it with apple bananas for a subtle sweet taste.
  • Add the bananas and chocolate chips to the mixture.  Mix with a spatula.  Note:  You can substitute the milk chocolate for dark chocolate if you prefer.
  • Pour the mixture halfway into a bread pan.  Note: This recipe makes two bread loves.
  • Place the Nutella into a bowl and melt in the microwave for about 15-30 seconds.  The texture should be thick but easy to pour.  Pour approximately 1/4 cup of Nutella in the middle of the bread pan.  Swirl the Nutella with a knife to make a fun pattern.  Then pour the dough mixture in the remaining bread pan and repeat the 1/4 cup of Nutella step for the finish.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 45-60 minutes.  Note:  Every oven varies in temperature.  It’s always best to set at the lower time and check the remaining last 15 minutes to ensure that you do not over bake.  Yum!
Note:  Sift the flour before mixing with ingredients.  It will make your bread moist and fluffy.
